The way a tool attaches to the work stand is with the included tool mounts. These items have slots in the top which allow bolts to fasten the tool mount to corresponding holes in the base of the miter saw. Once the two tool mounts are fastened to the saw, just set the assembly on the top rails of the mobile miter saw stand and lock it into place. Once the tool mounts are locked into place, you’re ready for work!
The stand has work supports on the left and right side for long stock.
These supports are also adjustable for height.
It also has stops at the end of each support that can be used for cutting multiple pieces to the same length.
There’s a convenient tray for keeping items like a tape measure, pencil, or square handy. Finding those items at the onset of a project, however, is still up to you…Good luck!
The first time I folded up this stand with the miter saw on it, I just knew it was going to practically fall over, but to my surprise the unit felt very balanced and folding up the stand to transport the saw was pretty easy. In fact, folding up the stan can take you on just a little bit of a ride as you’ll see in the video. My wife laughs at me a little because she says it looks like I’m just going to ride the stand up and down the driveway… Maybe one day I will The stand will store vertically without offering to tip over, which is a huge plus if you’re tight on space and don’t use your miter saw regularly.
Just encase you couldn’t tell from the video, the lock/release lever is controlled with your foot. This mechanism works quite smoothly.
